Whilst Family History research is a rather lonely "hobby" or some would say "obsession", it has introduced me to my ancestors.  Some I would love to have met and some, probably, are best left "buried"!

It has also given me the opportunity to travel and meet long, lost cousins and also to become familiar through correspondence and social media with cousins from all parts of the globe - who I probably will never personally meet.

Our paternal ancestors surnames - Romeril and Brudus - are not widely researched outside the family and it is the intention of this blog to hopefully make contact with others who may be researching these ancestors.

It is a joint venture with my cousin, Barbara, who has also been researching for many years.  Barbara has the creative ability to bring to life ancestors with her writing.

If you find yourself on this page and you are researching the above names, please make contact through comments and hopefully we can "flesh out" their stories.

As we become more adept at blogging we will add pedigree charts etc.
This is Ada Nixon and Johan Brudus, nursing (I think) Josephine Annie Romeril (Brudus)
